Rocket / Arugula

Arugula – also known as salad rocket – is mainly known in Italian cuisine as a garnish for spicy salads.

Flavour: Like most cabbages, the fresh green of rocket has a peppery taste. As green rocket has a fairly intense flavour, even a small amount is enough to give dishes or salads their nutty aroma.

Ingredients: Contains many mustard oils, folic acid, is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C and D, as well as the minerals potassium, calcium and phosphorus.

Use: Raw, in salads, on bread, in smoothies, herbal curds and goes particularly well with Mediterranean cuisine.

Positive properties: digestive, diuretic, folic acid is necessary for the proper functioning of red blood cells and defence cells. It is also said to prevent heart attacks, strokes and dementia.

Note: If you suffer from thyroid problems, use this microgreen in very small doses, as it has a very high iodine content.
